Riserva Statale Scarlino
One of the days we were driving along the coast just outside of Follonica, the highway was suddenly framed by gorgeous tall pines. Apparently it was the Riserva Statale Scarlino which you can read all about here once you learn Italian.
We could see the beach through the trees as we were driving, so we pulled over for a quick look around. Guess what? It was beautiful. Surprise!
